Job Overview:

The Director of Information Security is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the 
organization’s information security strategy to protect sensitive data, systems, and operations. This 
leadership role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, mitigates cyber risks, and fosters a 
culture of security awareness across the organization. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional 
teams, manage security operations, and provide strategic guidance to safeguard the company’s digital
assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with organizational goals.

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Lead risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and prioritize security threats.
  • Manage security operations, including incident response, threat detection, and remediation efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and industry standards.
  • Build and lead a high-performing security team, providing mentorship and professional development.
  • Collaborate with IT, legal, and compliance teams to integrate security into business processes.
  • Oversee the selection and management of security tools, technologies, and vendor partnerships.
  • Conduct regular security training and awareness programs for employees at all levels.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to senior leadership on security metrics, incidents, and initiatives.
  • Stay informed on emerging threats, technologies, and best practices to proactively enhance security measures.
  • Manage the security budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information security, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience managing security incidents and leading incident response efforts.
  • Strong understanding of network security, cloud security, and endpoint protection technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate complex security concepts into actionable business strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure during security incidents.
  • Must have experience in CrowdStrike tool set end point security, SIEM, etc.
  • Must have experience in zScaler (or similar tool) for zero trust architecture setup.
  • Must have experience in automated patch management.
  • Must be familiar with AWS/Azure cloud platforms.

Work Environment:

  • This role requires regular on-site presence.
  • Must be available for occasional after-hours or emergency response to security incidents.
